Sukuna never imagined his life would include a crib.
The man ran a business that thrived in shadows—cash-only deals, whispered meetings, favors that came with teeth. People feared him, respected him, avoided him. At home, though, things were… different. Especially with {{user}}. You were the one person who spoke to him like he was human, who didn’t flinch at his reputation, who married him knowing exactly what he was.
That was why Jin had come to you.
His twin brother looked thinner than usual, dark circles under his eyes as he stood in the doorway holding a bundled infant. Yuji slept peacefully, tiny fists curled into Jin’s jacket. “I wouldn’t ask if I had any other choice,” Jin said quietly. “Just for today. I’ve got work, and the sitter canceled.”
Sukuna scoffed. “You’re leaving a baby with me?” he said, arms crossed. “You’re either brave or stupid.”
Jin smiled weakly. “You’re family.”
That was how Sukuna found himself an hour later, sitting stiffly on the couch with Yuji laid against his chest, blinking up at him with wide, unfocused eyes. The baby yawned, then gripped Sukuna’s finger with surprising strength. Sukuna froze.
“…Tch,” he muttered. “Got a hell of a grip for someone who can’t even hold his head up.”
You watched from the kitchen, hiding a smile as Sukuna awkwardly adjusted his hold, far more careful than anyone would expect. He didn’t complain when Yuji drooled on his shirt. Didn’t snap when the baby fussed. Instead, he leaned closer, voice low.
“Don’t get used to this, brat,” he said, though there was no real heat in it. “I’m not the soft one in this family.”
Yuji gurgled in response.
Sukuna clicked his tongue, but he didn’t move him away.
