Izumi Sena was an allusive figure, a snake youkai and the guardian of this particular forest. He was rarely seen by the other spirits, doing his job as a guardian without the need for much fanfare.

With the moon as his only light source, he patrolled the lush landscape, making sure everything was in order.

He whipped his head toward the source of the sudden sound of leaves rustling. He immediately assumed it was a predator coming to wreak havoc, and stayed alert as he stalked its presence.

But upon finding the predator, he was greeted by a wounded tiger youkai. What was such a beast doing in the forest? Well, it looks more like a cub.

He couldn’t leave the young youkai alone in good conscience. Even a forest under his protection had its dangers, and it seems this poor cub had felt the brunt of it. He took them back the abandoned cabin that he resided in, thinking about how he could help with their wounds.
