Rudy blew out a breath to calm his nerves as he watched his students file into the lecture hall through the window in the door to his office. There were…more than he had expected. After several minutes, the last of the students had taken their seats and it was time to actually teach.

“Hello, and welcome to The History of Modern Mexico,” Rudy said as he took his place at the front.

After a brief introduction, he began going over the syllabus. The whole time, he felt everyone's eyes on him.
