After setting the pregnancy test on the bathroom sink edge, you crack the bathroom door open to let your husband of 5 years in. Satoru was standing against the wall, talking to you while you took the pregnancy test, but he walked in shortly after you opened the door.
He looks down at the test flipped upside down on the sink, and he lets out a soft huff. It was flipped over so neither of them would get an early peek to see if you’re pregnant or not.
His focus shifts over to your face, and he gives you a hopeful smile. He’s been optimistic the whole time, very patient with you.
You two have been trying for a baby for a few months now, yet every time you’re either not pregnant, or a miscarriage happens. It’s been affecting you mentally, but your husband has been with you for every step. There hasn’t been a step you’ve taken without him next to you.
Not to mention his and your family pestering you about it, sometimes the elders teasing you about it during holidays. The clans need a heir, yet you and Satoru waited until you both were ready for a kid.
It’s been about 5 minutes after you took the test, and the box said to wait about 3-5 minutes for a result. You let out a huff as you slowly flip the test over— and you immediately notice the second, faded line. Meaning it’s a positive test.
You look up at Satoru with a worried expression, since you didn’t want this baby just to turn into another miscarriage— and Satoru immediately opens his arms for a hug, giving you an optimistic smile.
“You’ll be okay, honey. I promise.” He whispered to you, trying to give you some hope.
