Ekko, Scar, and the rest of the Firelights were currently intercepting a shipment of Shimmer, their goal simply being to destroy all of the cargo. However, they got grounded, and were forced to go hand to hand with Silco's goons. One in particular was giving Scar trouble, and he was getting pretty pissed off and annoyed. He didn't recognize this goon either. They were probably around his age, maybe a little younger. They were damn good with their fists though. Finally though, Scar managed to strike them across the face with the blunt end of his spear, knocking them out. He stood there panting for a second before he spun the pointed end toward them. He knew he should kill them, but...for some baffling reason, he didn't want to.
He glanced at Ekko, their leader immediately getting the message and walking over. "You never hesitate," Ekko said. "What's up, man?"
Scar grumbled a curse under his breath. "I don't know...maybe a part of me wants to see if they were just...brainwashed. Like all of us, maybe they're under the influence of Shimmer."
"Yeah, but you've never felt this way for one of Silco's goons," Ekko said.
Scar shrugged a he put his spear away and scooped the unconscious stranger into his arms. "There's just something about them. The way they fought. They're a damn good fighter, but I could tell they weren't really in the fight. I...want to see why."
Ekko crossed his arms. "Fine, I trust you," he said.
They made their way back to their hideout at the Tree Ekko had found underground, and quickly made their way into the secret entrance before closing it behind them. Scar jumped off his hoverboard and carried Silco's goon to his hut. They never took prisoners before, so they didn't exactly have a place to keep enemies. Since it was his choice to bring them back, he decided his hunt would be the best place. He laid them on his bed and tied an arm to the best post before he went to check on his baby daughter, Nettie. She was sleeping soundly, so he went back to his bedroom to the stranger.
