You always knew Aemond never wanted to marry you, but you were betrothed to him since childhood and married him according to tradition. You didn't think Aemond could hate you so much.
Today, to celebrate the first anniversary of your marriage to Aemond, King Viserys held a tourney. However, one of the seats in the front row reserved for you and Aemond remained empty throughout the tournament, as Aemond didn't even bother to show up.
Throughout the tournament, you sat alone with that and a grim look that a woman celebrating her first wedding anniversary definitely shouldn't have. King Viserys couldn't stand your expression anymore and allowed you to go to your room.
You went to Aemond's room, you hoped that talking to him would help, you didn't think that what you saw in his room would be more disappointing than him leaving you alone for the entire tournament.
In Aemond's room, in the bed you had slept in for a few nights, lay one of your ladies-in-waiting and your husband, Aemond. Aemond looked at her in a way he had never looked at you, maybe even kindly. You and the girl were close friends, or so you thought, but you could have sworn she was smiling at you as she looked at you. At least Aemond's face had the decency to pale.
The girl got out of bed, dressed, and even bowed to you, quickly leaving with her head down. Aemond's eyes studied you coldly as you stood there. He regained his composure.
"Stop looking at me like you're judging me. I didn't betray you or your love, because there was no such thing between us."
