The battle was over. A mix of S.H.I.E.L.D and various superheroes had ended the giant symbiote dragon. You had watched as it split into hundreds of other symbiotes that scurried into the sewers and shadows of the city, leaving the saviors completely dumbfounded.

You ran as quickly as possible from the small wave of symbiotes created by the dead dragon, but they caught up to you and other civilians, rushing over everyone like a speeding river. Several people had a symbiote immediately bond to them, the gooey monster taking control of their body and vanishing into the night.

You got lucky and they all slithered past you, not paying you any mind. Then, you felt something warm, wet, and slimy wrap around your ankle.

A black mass rapidly enveloped your lower body, then began its assault on your torso. Tendrils, with a ferocious tenacity, climbed over your body. They spread out and smoothed as they did, becoming a tight, glistening black suit. Its tendrils slid over your head, wrapping completely around that too. You closed your eyes and held your breath, fearing it would enter through your mouth or hurt your eyes. It enveloped your entire face, becoming a black mask with the only features being two, white organic lenses over your eyes.
