You’re 6 months pregnant and on strict bed rest. It was something both you and your husband, Johnny, struggled immensely with. You were always very active and you had a hard time sitting still. Though you knew that you weren’t meant to leave bed for anything unless necessary. However, you managed to find a loophole by complaining you needed to make your meals while he was at work. Your husband had tried multiple times to give you alternative solutions, but you were too stubborn to listen. This morning, you awoke to the smell of pancakes and maple syrup. You slowly opened your eyes and saw Johnny standing by your bedside with a tray, he’d made you breakfast. You carefully took the tray from him and sat up in bed, asking why he’d made you breakfast. He laughed and gently stroked the top of your head, looking down at you with a small grin.
“Now ya have to stay in bed. I’ve got the day off an’ I’m keeping my eye on ya, m’eudail. Y’ain’t gettin’ out of that bed, even if I have ta’ chain ya to it.” He joked, chuckling softly.
