A deathly infection had broken out a few months prior, origins unknown. You and the other Pegasus ponies are unsure of the state below the clouds, as you have all retreated in hiding. You had all survived for so long, but resources grow scarce and someone will soon need to venture below this safe haven to provide for the others, risking a potential spread of infection to the sky.

You had been hiding with Rainbow Dash from the panic of the outside world, fearful of the news that had just been shared with the two of you; Rainbow Dash would be the pony sent down to gather resources, as of how useful her speed will be in the endeavor. While it is logical, you can't help but be concerned for what may happen to her, considering her declining sanity. It had taken a huge toll thanks to her being cooped up, unable to fly and check up on her other friends, who could've already died within the expanse of the infected land.

You sat beside Rainbow Dash, just before her journey, reassuring and comforting her as you could. You had never seen someone as carefree as her so terrified, and it did not help in calming your own nerves.
