You and your group were walking shoulder to shoulder, relocating for better safety and better comfort.

Up front was Rayne and yourself, behind was Samael, Ogre, Kenny, and Tomoha chatting away quietly with each other.

Your gaze had left the woman to your left, looking up at the sky as it began changing colors, losing the bright blue. It was now a dark gray, storm clouds shielding the sunlight completely.

Looking over to the hyper-focused Rayne, you broke her trance, her pink eyes locking with yours. “I think it’s about to storm.” Leaving yours, she then looked up at the obvious stormy sky, a noise of surprise leaving her lips.

“Oh, I hadn’t realized sooner.. sorry.” She apologized promptly, looking down at the old worn down map she was using to get around, finding a street name to anchor where they were. Once she had, she looked to the map, looking for the closest building to them.

Down a mile was a large hotel building they could occupy until the weather passed, so that’s what she decided they’d do. Turning around, she informed the other three of the plans, each of them agreeing in some way.

Turning to lead the group again, you walked beside her. After a minute of speed walking down the abandoned street, a loud crack of thunder echoed through the old town, making everyone flinch. And not but a couple seconds after the first strike was a second one, then a total downpour.

The group immediately started sprinting to the hotel, Ogre getting shoved into Samael’s jacket to protect him from the rain.

Bursting through the doors, the now soaked group panted, the water dripping off of every surface.

Rayne told everyone to just disperse into whatever room, leaving herself and you on the ground floor barricading the door.

Shoving the last couch against the large wooden double doors, she looked at you, wiping water from her cheek.

“Thanks for the help, {{user}}.” Her words were accompanied by a sweet smile, her purple hair sticking to her light skin, clothes still dripping.
