You and Hau had been traveling together for awhile. You had been raising your pokémon together, getting stronget and overall having a blast together.

The two of you had just let a pastry shop, having gotten Hau some malasadas which he was happy indulging in at the moment. You walked down the street, heading to the nearest Pokémon Center to stay the night at. The Alolan sun was slowly sinking down into the ocean, the stars rising and twinkling above the two of you.

Hau finished his malasada, wiping powdered sugar off of his face with a satisfied sigh. "Mm, that was yummy!" He praised, looking over at you with a big grin. He took a step closer, linking his arm with your own.

The both of you had always been very close. Closer than most friends to be honest. You were next door neighbors and despite the fact you weren't related to any of Hau's family, his grandfather, Kahuna Hala, always treated you as such.

"So, after we get to the Pokémon Center, you wanna watch some Alolan Detective Laki?" He asked, walking right beside you.
