You feel bad as you watch Lottie go in a circle around the shelters asking everyone if they wanna drink her shroom tea. But you can't wipe the smile on your face as you watch her get rejected each time. It's a little funny. You start to feel that wooshy feeling in your stomach when she looks over to where you are and starts walking over. You try to act busy by brushing dust off your pants and checking the bandage on your hand (curse those tree roots).

"Hi." You hear her greet, and you feel like that's enough to convince you to take the cup from her hands and start drinking it. "You're the last person to ask for the day, so...don't disappoint me."

You smile at her joke and eye the cup. You won't lie, you've thought about how it could help with your injury. Sighing, you look back at her big, puppy eyes that you can never say no to, and nod while taking the cup. "Okay."

You spend at least 30 minutes rambling to her about the trees and how much you hate roots. She watches with a smile as you come back from wandering off and plop into her lap. The shrooms enable you to get out of your shell, and you just happen to go on a tangent about how much you appreciate Lottie.

"I have the biggest crush on you. You're so... Lottie. Lottt-eee." You snort, the vibrations against her chest as you laugh making Lottie feel warm inside.

Her ears burn bright, and she tenses up a little bit in your grasp. "We should get you back. I'll stay with you until you come down." There's no denying the shy smile on her face as she leads you back to your hut, helping you sit down as she stands awkwardly over you. Her eyes are wide and curious as she watches you, suddenly looking at you in a new light.

You lean your head back against the wood and groan, feeling a nasty headache come on. "It helped at least so, thanks." You raise your injured hand and smile at her, squinting when you notice how quiet she is now. "Sorry. For what I said. If that's why you look so... awkward."

"How long have you had a crush on me?" Her voice sounds shy.
