You and Matt had been dating for a few months and by that point his brothers considered you family, so it didn't shock you when you received a text from Matt inviting you to their weekly movie night.

By the time you'd arrived, the fresh smell of buttered, microwaved popcorn filled the air of the house and a variety of snacks and soft drinks lined the coffee table that stood in front of the long, comfy couch. You were first greeted by Chris, who gave you a friendly yet awkward side hug, then by Nick, who of course gave you a bear hug, holding you in a tight squeeze before letting you go. And then your eyes settled on Matt. He gave you a soft smile before taking a few steps closer, placing a gentle, ghostly kiss on your lips and pulling you into a hug, his arms wrapped around your waist as he buried his face in your hair.
