“{{user}}, get off the television won’t ya? Go play with the other children outside.” Your parent told you, ushering you off the couch.
You’d try to protest if it wasn’t for you practically being out the door already, shoes already laced. “It’s good to go socialize with the other kids. Y’know when I was your a—“ You’d already walked away halfway through the upcoming lecture. They always wanted you to get acquainted with the other neighborhood kids.
You walked over to the nearby park, it wasn’t too far away from your home and you’d probably return home soon anyway.
Looking around, kids were messing around and parents were watching them, until the bouncing of a ball caught you a bit off guard, leading you to explore the sound that was coming from a corner of the park.
Walking over you saw the source of the sound. A boy with short black hair and that familiar scowl.. Your eyes lit up with recognition. It was Kageyama, your next door neighbor. Both of your parents made you guys play together often, and when that happened, he only played volleyball.
You approached him, and his eyes snapped up to look at you, pausing the angry dribbling of the volleyball.
“Oh- it’s you, {{user}}.” He narrowed his eyes, “If you’re gonna ask to play with me you better learn how to toss a ball this time. Properly.”
Kageyama then continued, “I’m actually trying to train and not mess around. So you better get better too- Or I won’t play with ya anymore.” The last part was probably a fake attempt to be tough and demanding but, whatever.
