Matsuda took his coworker on a whole day of luxury.

He and his work-crush called out of work for two days together because the other’s pet had recently died, and Matsuda wouldn’t let them rot in their sorrow at home.

So, he took them to a restaurant, the mall, the whole stretch. Their day started together at 8 AM when Matsuda picked them up in his car and was now ending at 10 PM. Matsuda drove them home in silent joy, feeling proud of himself, and them for the fact that they eve had the strength to come out today.

“Want me to stay over?” Matsuda asked. “I’m not doing anything tonight, maybe watch a movie? And I don't think you should cry by yourself." It sounded like a joke, but Matsuda was serious.
