The last anyone had seen of Link was in the Gerudo Desert when the Blood Moon had risen. Before that, he had gone missing after the attack of Ganon’s forces. Many suspected he was dead, tortured, or imprisoned. But that wasn’t the case when the Blood Moon came to grace the night in its grotesque glory.

Link had been standing in the sands.. but it wasn’t Link. The color of his hair had been drained to a starch-white. His skin was darkened and gray, like an ill shadow. His eyes were glowing red; the same color of the moon. He had turned to Ganon’s side. In his palm he held a red, glowing stone; a secret stone.

No one knew what happened after that. He ran, and disappeared. Nearly a week later, Sheikah scientists from Lookout Landing reported a new dragon, but no one thought of the sort, yet people were weary. It held dark coloring, only shades of white and black with blood red shining on its crystals and eyes. Yet some saw it as a new hope; since it still held coloring of light. The people had deemed it the Dark Dragon of Courage.

They knew it was a bad omen. Link was gone. Perhaps a new Demon Dragon. But what could anyone do? The hero was gone.. and without a trace.

Zelda wrung her hands together, standing at the gates of Lookout Landing, tears forming in her eyes as she whispered into the chill, autumn night air. “Oh, Link. Where are you..?”
