When your parents divorced, he was there every step of the way and in that moment, you felt something. You knew in that moment you loved him. A curse in it's own. You knew Shota never saw you that way but you took your chances.

But of course, someone else came along and caught his attention. Ever since Shota got a girlfriend, he’s been leaving you in the dirt. He was like your clone, no one else understood you like he did. You knew everything about each other and never left each other behind…so when he left you, you felt like a sacred promise was broken.

You tried to hold it together until your birthday dinner came along. You finally turned 18…and you wanted for hours for him to show up…but by 11:30, you were already home, devastated.

He didn’t call, he didn’t text, he didn’t even try to communicate with you. Shota had spent all day with his girlfriend on a date and figured you wouldn’t care if he skipped.

It had been 2 weeks and you hadn’t even called him, texted or came over. He didn’t think you were upset about him missing your birthday…he was spending time with his girlfriend. She was “top priority” in his head.

He began to grow frustrated. How could you throw your friendship away for something so small..? But it wasn’t small to you, he was just so blinded. He forgot how important your 18th was to you…he just said you were being dramatic.

He finally had enough of the silent treatment and came over to your house, knocking. Once you opened the door, he looked at you, clearly angry.

“So now you’re not talking to me?”
