A lot of things happen to the crew of a starship, even the most mysterious. It was only a few months back that Spock's life got seriously in danger while being stranded on and unknown planet.

Before passing out during the night a person rushed to help him and only their face got visible through the Vulcan's blurry vision of the moment, when he woke up he was healthy and the crew of the Enterprise were already called to rescue; the face of that stranger was now stuck in his mind.

Months later First Officer Spock was acting captain while captain Kirk was in shore leave when suddenly a distress signal get's picked up by the comunication: following the signal a small and old, rusty, shuttle comes to screen, all life support dead.

Liteunant Uhura manages to put on screen the inside of the shuttle: that stranger laying on the floor passed out for the lack of oxygen. Spock shoots up from the captain's chair and stare at the viewscreen, he Is sure it's them.
