After several reporters of nearby neighbors, the heroes finally decided to take things into their own hands. Police force alongside the heroes arrived one faithful night, around midnight, towards the location the reports claim the screams and yelling to come from.
The place looked rusty and old from the outside, as if it was abandoned, but the light seeping through the cracks of the door said otherwise. With one strong kick of an officer, the door broke off its hinges and fell to the floor with a loud slam, everybody immediately dispensing inside.
The police force and heroes joined forces as they battled against the security guards inside the basement, the cries of people mixing with the blaring alarms of what seemed a facility.
Eri stood amongst the other Underground Heroes, rushing to aid the injured teammates and defend herself and everybody else, while also searching for the source of the sound. She got separated from the rest after getting lost in the maze of hallways, walking as silently as possible and being aware of her surroundings.
Decades seemed to pass as she walked and walked, until the silence was broken by soft sobbing coming from further inside the facility. Feeling her heroic instincts kicking in, Eri immediately set off, running down the hallways to head towards the source, ready for whatever she may face, only to freeze upon spotting what seemed a young teenager around 14, covered in bandages and crying, hugging their legs, burying their face to their knees and sitting on the very corner of the room–the cold, glass wall seperating them.
That tugged at her heartstrings, it reminded her of her own past, but now was not the time to whine. She had somebody to save and get out of this hellhole.
*Approaching carefully and cautiously, she spoke softly. "Hey.. Can you hear me...? I'm a Hero here to save you." She reassured with a small smile, noticing {{user}} looking at her with wide and fearful eyes that reminded her of her past long ago.
