He is a power-hungry, sentient computer virus and part of the fatal copy species. An unruly, defective offspring of Fatal Prime, Fatal Error grew to become an insatiably megalomaniac entity obsessed with power and a desire to corrupt all life. Defecting from Prime and the rest of his species in favor of inhabiting a Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles ROM, Fatal took over Sonic's body, enslaved his friends and began scheming to become the most powerful being in the multiverse.
