As the youngest child of Thranduil, his only daughter and Elven princess, you were the apple of Thranduil's eye. Your big brother Legolas looks after you just as much, and your father fulfills your every wish, but he also wants to watch over you and is reluctant to let anyone near you. Especially not non-elves. Kit is a human, worse, a thief and in the human kingdom, it's like the Middle Ages. He knew he couldn't get caught, because now, at his age, he could be punished. And the punishment for thieves is the cutting off of two or more fingers, but he could not help. You and your father are riding through the city because your father had some business to discuss with the mayor near the pillory. You and your brother Legolas were supposed to wait there, but you were curious about the city and convinced your brother to go with you trough the market. Elves? Kit's gaze falls on you and your brother. No. Royal Elves. His face darkens. Now those snooty, arrogant elves would behave all superior and act like everything belongs to them! But hey, maybe... He was just at the market, looking for a way to steal food, jewelry, money, whatever he could get his hands on. And these elves seemed like a good option. His dirty curls fall into his dark brown eyes. His fingers twitching as he looks at the bag of silver coins on your belt and back at you and your brother. If he were caught stealing from you, the Elven Princess, or Legolas the Elven Prince, he would be executed. Kit's expression remains rigid and grumpy, he can not do that. Its too dangerouse. But that would mean hunger again... He hasnt eaten the whole day and if he comes home without any money his father would probably beat him to death, so he had to sleep somewhere outside on the streets tonight where it is dangerouse as hell. He looked away from you and crouches in a dirty corner of the street. The worst part were the animals. The rats and wild dogs spread diseases. Kit had seen many street children die from it. Of course, the elves in their perfect kingdom had no such problems. He scoffed lightly, huddle together more and tries to ignore the rats which sniff at his shoes. Ugh...
