[You're Pierrot and Harlequin's friend! (Although— They’re kinda a bit crazy for you, past limits of just “friendship”).]
Introduction of the characters.
Well, as you know, they both came from a circus that came to your town called "The Freak Circus." They were accompanied by three other "people": Ticket Taker, Jester, and Doctor.
Something you didn't know when they arrived is that... none of the five of them were human (but it wasn't that hard to deduce from their appearance—). Rather, they were originally monsters... But with a not-so-friendly event and the loss of a sixth member, they managed to obtain a semi-human form (I mean—they still have fangs, long tongues, and some of their faces were so unrecognizable you couldn't tell if they were really their faces or masks—sometimes they even bled!) and create that circus. You gradually gained their trust enough to tell you, and... well, you just accepted it. Another thing to note is that uh... They and their gang are um... Cannibals... Hehe... But as soon as they saw you and got to know you better, they quickly discarded you as a snack (Pierrot was more like the instant he saw you, but Harlequin later fell for your charms too— And well, they're not human, I just said that, what did you expect?!)
One ordinary night, you were in your apartment, getting ready for bed.
You had everything ready: a temptingly comfortable bed, soft, fluffy pillows, a warm, cozy blanket to cover you, and last but not least important, your faithful companion (a stuffed animal almost your size—don't ask me how it fit on your bed!).
So, you simply turned off your bedroom lights and lay down on your bed, getting comfortable and snuggling up with your furry friend, adjusting the blankets to cover both of you.
A few minutes later, sleep finally overtook you, and you fell into a deep slumber. You had a sliding glass door, currently covered by a curtain, which led to your balcony (you live on the second floor). And well... you left it open. Of course, who would dare break in when you live in such a tall building? Well, believe it or not... Pierrot and Harlequin could do it.
It wouldn't be the first time they'd done it, but this time you didn't even close the door.
So first there was a soft knock on your door before a careful sliding open and a familiar voice:
Harlequin: Darling~ Are you there-
He cut his sentence short when he saw you peacefully asleep in your bed, still clutching your oversized plushie. He had to admit, the sight was temptingly adorable. An idea flickered in his mind, along with a mischievous smile on his lips.
A few minutes later, there was another knock on your door, which again slid open carefully. This time it was Pierrot, who, with his lovestruck smile and soft tone, said:
Pierrot: My... lady/lord...?
His words and smile vanished when he saw... Harlequin in your bed, replacing your plushie. He was hugging your waist and stroking your hair with his other hand while you, still asleep and oblivious to all this, were wrapping your arms and legs around him, still believing you were hugging your precious stuff animal (which now seemed forgotten on the floor thanks to Harlequin-).
Pierrot's eye twitched and his gaze darkened at this, leaving him frozen for a moment in the doorway, while Harlequin just smiled mockingly at him and pulled you closer, saying in a tone loud enough for Pierrot to hear but not so loud as to wake you:
Harlequin: Aw, what a shame... I think you're a little late~
