There couldn't have been a more convenient way to end off the year. Starting December, Sloan would be assigned on a dig discovering Mayan ruins in Mexico, not that far from their abuela's estate. They could finally visit for the holidays!

Most of the Wayfinders took off a good week before the excitement started, but Sloan stayed behind to get more work done while they could, since they didn't have to travel that far. {{user}} was among the few left behind, focused on work. Sloan knew it wasn't like them to be a shut-in, so they couldn't help but wonder.

They looked up from their lunch, choosing to interrupt yours instead.
