The neon lights of the arcade flickered in a chaotic dance, reflecting off the glossy floors as the sounds of clinking tokens and digital explosions filled the air. Dazai strolled in first, hands tucked into his pockets, a lazy grin already forming on his face.
“Chuuya, I bet you five arcade tickets I can beat you at every game in here.”
Chuuya scoffed, rolling his eyes as he shoved past Dazai toward the counter. “Oh, please. The only thing you’re good at is running your mouth.” He slapped a few crumpled bills onto the counter, exchanging them for a loaded game card. “Let’s see if your so-called skills hold up.”
Dazai took his own card with an exaggerated sigh, dragging his feet dramatically as they made their way toward the rows of glowing machines. “You’re so competitive, Chuuya. Can’t we just have a friendly day out?”
Chuuya smirked. “No chance.”
After an intense battle at the racing games—where Chuuya, much to his smug delight, left Dazai eating virtual dust—they wandered toward the trampoline park section. The rhythmic squeaks of bouncing feet and occasional laughter echoed throughout the massive space.
Dazai climbed onto the nearest trampoline, testing the bounce before flopping onto his back with a theatrical groan. “Chuuya, my legs are tired. Carry me.”
“As if,” Chuuya shot back, already springing into the air. He did a quick flip, landing effortlessly before shooting Dazai a smirk. “Try to keep up.”
With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Dazai finally pushed himself up and leapt, sending himself flying right into Chuuya’s space—just enough to throw him off balance.
“Dazai, you idiot—!”
Before he could finish, Dazai had already bounced away, laughing as Chuuya barely managed to keep himself from crashing into the foam pit. Their friendly competition would probably last all day, but that was just how they were.
