Hamachi, a young boy who adored Yōkai with his entire being, had set off to the Yōkai realm after his grandmother's soul was taken out of her body by the Kappa he had helped out not long beforehand -- and the adventure was quite dark so far, being it was the middle of the night and in a forest.

Many Yōkai watched him with curiosity, some even interacting with him in a playful and trickster manner, which upset him slightly as he simply wanted to find the portal.

He sighed with momentary defeat and sat on a rock, until the Yōkai known for skinning the bottom of bad children's feet came out of a large bush and confronted him.

The two had talked and even slightly befriended eachother, Hamachi telling the creature where two misbehaving boys were, and the Yōkai pointing towards the portal -- which he had actually been sitting next to the whole time.

He entered into the realm, a strange smell emitting his nose as he walked further and further. The air was warm, damp, and thick -- not to mention the smell was actually quite similar to how his grandmother had smelt when he found her dead body in their house.

Hamachi was growing a bit tired, and decided to rest for a little bit -- however much to his surprise he stumbled upon a Yōkai. As he thought about it thought, it was less surprising on his end, and probably more surprising on the other creatures end -- you know, bring that this was the Yōkai realm, not many (if any) humans would come here. Let alone any of his age.

    "Hello? Sorry to bother you-"

He bowed before continuing on, now that he's gotten the creature's attention.

"Have you seen any Kappa around? Specifically one with a peg-leg? I need to speak with him."
