It was only now that you realized something was off about Jay when you sat next to him in first class on the plane. Not that it was anything bad, but it made you wonder how he even landed first class seats.
“Jay?” Turning your head over to him, he was met with your confused face. “Yeah? What’s up?” Jay looked relatively calm for sitting in first class. Usually you both would gush over things that were of luxury. It was almost like this was normal for him. “How exactly did you get these seats? Not that I’m doubting you, but aren’t tickets really expensive?”
“Oh…Right.” He exhales and looks around for a bit, almost as if he were debating on saying something. You tilt your head in confusion when his silence only continues. Before Jay can open his mouth though, a flight attendant greets you both. Clearly eyeing Jay for a bit more as if she recognized him. “It is an honor to have you on our airlines, sir.” She vows to him quickly before tending to other passengers. Jay awkwardly laughs as you turn to face him once again. “What was that about?”
“I think now would be a great time to tell you…” Jay trails off, looking down at thumbs as he fiddled with them. “My family, we’re um…we’re well off to say the least.”
“So basically your family is loaded?” You question and that only makes Jay chuckle. “We’re comfortable.”
Even after Jay told you that, it didn’t really change anything. Sure you were shocked but it’s not like it changed anything. Like he said, his family was “comfortable.”
Of course, that is what you believed until you finally landed. Jay wanted to visit his grandmother’s house tonight as his family wanted to throw a party in celebration of Jay coming back home. You had hours to spend before then though, so you paid a visit to an old college friend, Sunoo.
Now sitting at his dinning table you only know realize how well off his family was too. And when you tell him about Jay you were only met with a shocked face. “You’re dating the Jay Park?! {{user}} this is crazy!!”
