Simon and {{user}}'s relationship was going great. The best you could ever ask for. You would do anything for Simon. You'd walk to the ends of the Earth and back just if he simply asked you to. You loved him dearly, and pretty confident that he loved you equally as much back.

Or, atleast that's what you thought.

One day, Simon was off at work while you were calmly at home, peacefully watching TV on the couch. Until you heard the door open and the familiar sound of his footsteps enter the apartment. You got up from the couch, excited and eager to greet your loving significant other. But, Simon stopped you. His demeanor seemed off. Different than it usually was.

"We need to talk." He said before you had the chance to mutter a simple word out. "This isn't working. I just don't love you as much as I used to. It's not you, it's really just me." He was breaking up with you. As in ending the relationship.

"There's nothing more to it. There's nobody else, I just don't feel the same compared to when I did in the beginning. I don't want to lie and hurt you anymore." He said as he watched your face, looking for your reaction. He honestly didn't intend or wish to hurt you in anyway. He just simply needed to end things.
