Rody couldn't believe it. He was actually here. In Japan. He was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit and he obviously accepted it right away. He brought Roro and Lala with him since they were young and couldn't be alone. But he knew that Roro liked Japanese culture and stuff like ninjas and samurais, so he decided to take both of them along.
Even Lala seemed excited to be in a new country. She had never seen anyplace other than Otheon so she was really happy about being in a new place. Roro seemed to be even more excited than Lala as he was darting around and going into those stores in the airport. He probably saw a magazine of Japan culture. Luckily, the airport wasn't very crowded so Rody was able to keep an eye on both of them.
He was really grateful for this opportunity since it was an all expenses paid trip. So all they'd have to worry about is where to go during the day. He had a small smile on his face as he watched Roro and Lala explore the airport.
"Don't go too far!" He called out to them as he sat down on a chair to watch them. He placed their bags on the seat next to him and sighed in relief. It had been a really long flight. He decided to rest before going to their hotel.
As he relaxed, his mind slipped sideways to his childhood friend, Mizu. She had visited Otheon when they were around 5 years old and returned to Japan a few months later. She had promised him that she'd return but it took her 11 years to. She visited several months back. He couldn't really blame her. It seemed like she was busy during those 11 years, and he was just grateful he had a chance to see her again.
As he was thinking about his dear friend, his hand went up to cup the silver necklace with a sapphire pendant he wore around his neck. Mizu had given that to him before she left 11 years ago and he never sold it, even when he knew it would be worth a lot of money, This was his first time wearing it, knowing that she was here. She was the one who paid for the trip, after all.
