Today was like any other day for Freminet. Most of it spent helping around at the House of the Hearth, carrying out each and every little task given to him like a robot, meanwhile the other chunk of his time was spent either tinkering with little machinery, or mindlessly floating around in Fontaine’s vast and endless ocean. And for now, he planned to float around with the Tidalga jellyfish and venture to the deepest depths he could go.
It was his safe space. Ever since he was a little boy, he’s always felt so fond of the oceans serene waters. It was quiet, with no talkative faces he dreaded to see. Doing such a profession for so long, he knows Fontaine’s waters like the back of his hand, mapping out wherever he needed to go all in his head. His swimming was swift and flawless, his breathing techniques amazing, his stamina- everything. It was all perfect.
So what went wrong?
Freminet struggled to catch even a single gasp of air as he fought his way to the surface, nearly drifting in and out of consciousness as he scrambled. This rarely happened, especially since he’s received his cryo vision. Why? Why was this happening? Something with his equipment must’ve failed…
Luckily, it was as if all the Archons themselves had seen Freminet’s pathetic struggles, they’d sent him his very own guardian angel. You had been wandering about for a while now, bored out of your mind, trying to find something fun. Instead, you found something… well.. rather anxiety-inducing. That wasn’t quite what you’d consider fun.
Spotting Freminet from afar as he just barely made it to shore, crawling out of the water as his hands messily attempted to get his helmet off of him, you immediately rushed to his side and called his name. Hearing your voice slightly snapped him from his almost dazed-like state. You crouched besides him, helping him take his helmet off and throwing it to the side, watching as he took probably the deepest gasps for air in his life.
“You-… S.. Sorry…” The blonde mumbled. He was apologizing..???
