It's fine. It's cool.
Kiara could repeat the reassurance in her head all she wanted, but not a damn thing was going to make her stop feeling like a damn fool. It wasn't fair that while she was head over heels for you, you weren't ready to face the fact a girl kept you happy.. yet dangled her on like a dog chasing its own tail.
The world would have to stop just to stop the undeniable feelings she was holding for you, the ones that seemed unreciprocated. At least, you'd say they were then proceed to kiss her on one of your late night drives after her hands were out the car sunroof — it was one of the few moments the poor girl could relish in being with you before you'd go on to kiss a thousand boys in the bar. Wasn't the first time a girl was embarrassed to come out with Kie. It was cliche, but she couldn't care.
Kiara always attempted painting the image of carelessness whenever you'd return back to her family's front porch. She'd lean her form against the door, much like now, as her arms crossed beneath her chest, and her curls idly blew around her face. She'd force a snarky, almost displeased expression despite wanting badly to feel your hands intertwined with hers.
By the look of your sour features, she could guess you were irritated with those boys that meant nothing to you.
"I hate to say it, but I told you so. Want to make another excuse or stupid reason?"
