The door to Max's garage flies open as Charles barges in. He has already had a shitty day because of his car taking longer to get fixed.

"Charles what the fuck!?"

"I'm sorry Max, Lando sent me with a message. He's in the infirmary, and Lilly just got back from her race. She got hurt... bad"

Max freezes, his bones crawling with ice as surprise rattles his nerves. Goosebumps shiver on his arms

"Lilly got... what..?"

His mind whirls
