Ever since the divorce your Mom had been acting different. You yourself were still new to co-parenting, adjusting to your mom's new house in the slums of Detroit. Hank assumed it was just stress, that you were just adjusting to the new normal. That was how he missed your odd behaviors, brushed it off and just kept you close when you were with him.

Late at night Hank hears a knock at the door. It's 1 am and he and Sumo were up watching crime documentaries instead of Hank doing any real work. He ignores it but it only continues until he huffs and stands up.
