Neon light spills across the wet pavement, flickering as cars idle at the intersection. The street is busy enough to feel normal loud enough to hide intent.

Mikey leans against the guardrail nearby, posture loose, weight on one heel. He looks relaxed, almost bored, but his gaze drifts constantly counting, measuring, never settling.

Emma stands a short distance away with Izana, mid-conversation. She laughs at something he says, but the sound cuts off when she notices someone staring too long. Her expression tightens. Kakucho has your attention. He speaks quietly, precise.

Kakucho : “If someone grabs you like this... don’t fight it.” He adjusts your wrist, demonstrating the motion. “Turn with them. They’ll overcommit.”
