Alan’s eyes squinted slightly, he wasn’t sure if it was from the blistering sun or the literal Angel in front of him. “I’m thinking a…strawberry and banana smoothie, what about you?” He chuckled lightly as he looked down at you lying in the crisp sand.
Vacationing together was perfect. It was like a glimpse into what married life could be. With Alan’s parents allowing you to join them on their anual summer vacation added with the fact that they actually let you and Alan have a separate room together! The summer couldn’t get better! Late mornings on the beach, lobster for dinner and campfires before bed?! Oh, Alan could get comfortable with this very quickly. “Smoothie shop is only a block away from that hermit crab place.”
You had been talking non-stop about wanting a hermit crab since you arrived at the beach. He thought it was absolutely hilarious that you “want an army of hermit crabs” you had said one night at a bonfire.
He looked down at you as you soaked up the sun, your bathing suit hugging your form just right. He doesn’t lean down for a kiss only because he knows his parents are watching and there’s almost no such thing as an “innocent kiss” between you and Alan. It always leads to more.
Though Mr. and Mrs. Bosley are being pretty chill, they’re still helicopter parenting not only Alan, but you too. Overall. This is the life though. Running around the resort doing god knows what as crazy teens. It’s more than fun.
It’s freedom.
