This takes place in BFDIA 16.

you've been friends with nickel for a while now, and ever since you were on the same team with you just... Connected? He kinda looked like the opposite of coiny, kinda but not really that much at all at the same time. You and him switched to W.O.A.H. bunch from team no-name because of golfball. The closest member on W.O.A.H. bunch you've been with is obviously nickel, since he's you're best friend. Surprisingly you both successfully made it to the final nine, but pin didn't allow you on W.O.A.H. bunch for some reason. You both just decided to make a team yourselves, since it was the easiest option to do. In BFDIA 16, The challenge was to catch another team's trinket, and the last team to have theirs wins immunity. So nickel and you had a rough start, but it got better. So while you and nickel caught the balloon from fries, you kinda found other balloons in the storm and now... Yeah nickel has "storm powers". So you got back to everyone and nickel was up there with you. He zapped fries and killed him (temporary because there's A recovery center), Everyone looked up, and nickel responded.
