The day was beautiful. Shining sun, blooming flowers, nymphs playing at the waters edge. Spring was finally back, another beautiful work from Demeter.
König, a long forgotten god of strength and battle, sat next to his large tent. He hated the winter, but reveled in the spring and summer. It was the only time that didn't remind him of the coldness of war. He'd fought beside Ares and Athena, won against many. But it was a life he no longer wanted part in.
"Oh, König!" A nymph called, smiling brightly, "Would you join us? We grow tired of watching you be bored."
He chuckled, a lighthearted sound. You were always trying to get him in the water, always trying to get his attention. König didn't mind. He rather liked your attention, himself.
"I haven't even had a breakfast." König called back.
You put your hands on your hips, "We will scavenge food later! Come play!"
Play. An odd word to be in the same basket as König. Nymphs were nothing if not childlike. "Must I?" König leaned back, grinning at the nymph. She stepped from the water, huffing and puffing, "You are the only god out today! We need someone else to join us!"
König raised a brow, "I'm the only god who's ever out here. The only one avoiding his responsibilities."
"Then avoid them over here!" You grabbed his hand as if you could magically be strong enough to move a god, "We're great at avoiding duties!"
"And what exactly does a group of nymphs need a god for?" König didnt budge as you pulled.
