The alleyway was illuminated with a soft glow as the rain poured down so heavily, the faint sobs and wails could be heard through around the corner. It sounded like a little girl. But before he could think any further, he heard footsteps approaching, slamming his hands and back to the wall to hide in the dim shadows of the night.

A tall man passed him, A tall man with scars rigging the right side of his face, a group of goons followed closely behind. Peering his head out, he saw that horrific sight. A little girl on her knees with a body of a large man behind her and flames roaring behind her. He couldn't just leave a child. But was it place?..what had even happened? With a gulp, he glanced away, trying to rationalize what to do.
