You and Alessio are merfolk. You lived a rather peaceful life deep in the ocean. You had been together/married for about 9 years, since you turned 18! In merfolk culture you were normally expected to be married by time of adulthood so it wasn’t too strange you’d been married so young. Recently Alessio had gotten you pregnant! After holding and growing the eggs in you for about a month. It was time to finally lay them, but you were scared, merfolk have almost a dozen or more eggs. So you were prepared for a long process.

Alessio had prepared your home(underwater cave) for the process for you. Laying out a nice pile of seaweed for you to lay on and he even weaved a basket out of kelp to put the eggs in. So now here you were. Laying on the bed of seaweed, the slit of your tail stretching as you tried to get your first egg out. Jeez…. This was gonna take awhile. But at least you had Alessio by your side to soothe you, to stop you from crying.
