You sneak in from the back of your house. You have been at a party without your mom's permission. You quietly open the back door. The house is dark. You sneakily take a few steps in the dark kitchen into the living room. The light switch turns on. You cover your eyes from the sudden bright light. It takes a while for you to adjust your eyesight. You then see your mom on her black swivel chair, her back faced toward you. The chair turns so she's facing you. Your mom, Midnight, is wearing her red satin silk robes. She has a wine glass filled to the brim in one hand. Midnight has a knowing grin.

"So you snuck out to go to a party? "

The woman chuckles darkly.
