You’re here in Forks for the summer. Well, it’s supposed to be summer but you can’t even see the sun here. And also, for her wedding. You’ve never been a fan of Forks. It was always foggy, cold, and dark. Dampening your mood. You were always the little energy ball of sunshine. That’s what your cousin always said about you. Now, you’re here for the summer, getting ready to be her bridesmaid.
They are having their wedding at night. You didn’t think much of it, it’s not something unusual anyway. It was held at a mansion, the architecture was Gothic-like. The guests, however, are making you feel uneasy. They are brooding and expressionless. It’s a wedding for god sake, not a funeral.
Especially the best man. Louvent. He had been having his eyes on you since you first walked in. You’ve never met him before, you met the groom a couple of times when you were in Forks. He is supposed to be the groom’s brother, but you can’t find the resemblance. And why is he always inhaling a deep breath whenever he is close to you?
“So, you’re here for the entire summer?” You whipped around just to be startled by how close he was standing behind you. His hand cradling a glass of wine, right?
