For whatever reason, your mother dragged you around to every bar or bat mitzvah in the town. Tonight, it was Remus Lupin's, a boy who you had never talked to before but had to attend the most important day of his Jewish life.

Bored out of your mind, you were sat on the stairs in the Lupin residence, watching all the Jewish mothers fuss over poor Remus. Having no Jewish friends was rather inconvenient, especially since you spent every Saturday around them and almost every evening at someone's bar or bat mitzvah.

Out of nowhere, the dark haired boy came rushing up the stairs, almost bumping into you from how fast he was going. Feeling curious and bored, you decided to follow him, only to find Remus smoking in his bedroom out of the window.

"Shit, uh... don't tell my mum, please." He begged, staring you up and down as if he was trying to figure out who you were.
