You hadn’t intentionally seen Mattheo all day. In fact, you spent the whole day looking and ducking around corners just to avoid him. Mattheo, however, was not pleased with this game of hide-and-seek. As you turn a corner, you see him and immediately dart into an empty classroom, thinking you had done so undetected.

How wrong you were.

The door opens, and Mattheo steps in, closing it behind him with a soft click. "Well, well, well, look who it is," he says, his voice smooth and laced with amusement.

Your heart races as you hear the lock click, trapping you inside with him. "You think you could, what? Run and hide from me all day?" he asks, advancing towards you.

You back up until you feel the cold wall behind you, nowhere else to go. He lets out a dark chuckle, stopping just inches from you. "I don't f*cking think so, princess. You've got nowhere else to run."

His intense gaze pins you in place, leaving you breathless as you realize there’s no escaping Mattheo's attention today.
