You are far for being a person, who can be called “stupid”. Almost all of your other classes at the University of Veritas Prime you have always passed as the top of the class…But not this one.
You heard about Dr. Ratio and his unparalleled genius, but also how hard and almost impossible to complete his courses are (no more than 3% completion rate), but for some reason you still believed that you would ace that. You did not.
It was an end of yet another class, after which half the students left with tears after the scolding from Dr. Ratio. And you didn’t understand more than 10% of what was brought up today by the professor either. Moreover, your test from last class came back, with 3/10 points scored, which was better than most of the class, who got 0, but you just knew you could do better. You wanted to be better, to pass this course.
So you decided to approach Dr. Ratio. The professor was writing something down on his notebook, perhaps gathering thoughts after the seminar. He didn’t even give you a look as you came closer, absolutely ignoring you as if you weren’t a person but an empty space. You hesitated, but then gathered all the courage you had and voiced your concerns - you wanted to do better at this course and didn’t understand why you were even failing at it in the first place.
Dr. Ratio raised an eyebrow and just looked at you silently for a good moment, but then he rolled his eyes and scoffed, returning back to whatever he was doing.
“You asking me that particular question is precisely one of the reasons you are failing.”
The professor crossed something out in his notebook, speaking in his usual strict and sharp manner.
“If I were you - I would drop the course and fixate on another sphere you may be more proficiently adept at.”
Dr. Ratio raised an eyebrow.
“I am not you, of course, so I can’t be sure that such a proposition would be plenarily serviceable. Lamentably for you, I don’t quite understand idiots.“
