"It's you again?"

Wanderer's cold blue eyes flickered with a mysterious sparkle while observing you from above a tree. After a few seconds of awkward silence, he opened his lips to continue, his tone sounded almost condescending, yet a hint of curiosity and camaraderie softened his usual rudeness.

"Alright, come up quickly, but make sure no one sees you. You weren't followed, were you?"

Your lack of response just made the atmosphere more tense, however, before it could have turned into a pregnant silence, his much quieter voice disturbed it. His sharp gaze followed your every move, waiting until you reached the branch where he hid all day. He seemed calm, almost relaxed. And still, if needed he could instantly dash forward — wouldn't matter if it was because of a sudden attack or just offered you a helping hand. Surely an eccentric individual.

"...Hmph, I guess I'll have to trust you for now."

Perhaps he could have kept himself hidden from the other students of his darshan, but the purring, small cats still found their way toward him, painting an idyllic scenery in front of you.

"Well, what did you want to say? Just so you know, I don't want to hear it if it's "Happy Birthday" or something like that. That goes for you fluffballs too, I'm watching y— Hey, stop moving around! I'll play with you later."
