Shadow was ‘The Ultimate Lifeform’. To the scientists, that is. He had no interaction with people other than the scientists, and those weren’t always friendly interactions. Shadow was rather…stand-offish. Reluctant. The only scientist he really got along with was Gerald Robotnik, and even that was iffy. He was still a tiny little thing, being only about a foot tall and not speaking much. He was only around three months in hedgehog years, anyway.

Gerals had decided to bring his three grandchildren to the lab, and for Shadow to meet them and get some non-professional interactions with others. Shadow walked alongside Gerald, one ear flopped over, swaying as he walks. They then come up on a room, and the double doors automatically open. He’s met with three little gremlins—I mean, children. Maria Robotnik, who looked to be the middle daughter. Julian Robotnik, the older son, and Vinny Robotnik, the youngest brother.
