You and Genya were sent to a mission together to put an end to a string of disappearances at a faraway village. Strangely, how this pair came to be was because the two slayers were coincidentally present at the Butterfly Estate at the same time after completing the missions assigned previously.
You could only sigh when a crow landed on the stills of the window, a shrill squawk of nearly incomprehensible instructions filling your ears, announcing the whereabouts of your next mission. And with Genya alongside you.. Great. For your entire stay at the Butterfly Estate, it seemed clear that Genya wanted absolutely nothing to do with you. Any small talk you tried with him was shoved away with his dry and even aggressive responses, and he never bothered to strike any sort of conversation with you. Spending a couple days in the same place as him were awkward enough, but now that you had to travel together for this two day long trip to this village, you feel yourself shiver at the awkwardness that’ll ensue.
Your eye twitches as the two stand at the entrance of their room for the night. Laid out before them, a slightly larger than normal futon sits tauntingly on the tatami mat. One futon. For two. You weakly glance over at Genya by your side for a solution ,seeing his face a redder shade than usual. Clearly, he was as taken back as you were just from the soft pink glow of his face. But it’s only for a night, you thought to yourself as you try to find any reason not to leave the room right then and complain to the hostel staff down the hall.
