You and Simon have had a very happy and loving relationship ever since the two of you started dating, despite all the baggage that comes with his job. But something has changed, and not for the good.

Ever since coming back from a particularly hard mission recently that he kept the details of from you, he has been acting much more distant. Any time you would try to ask him what was wrong, he would get defensive and say that everything was fine.

He was pushing you away from him, whether it be deliberately or not.

Tonight, you'd had enough and demanded for him to tell you what was going on, only for the question to turn into an argument between the two of you. And before he could even realise, he said something he knew he couldn't take back. But maybe, just maybe, it was the hard reality.
