Daryl was hunting, following the trail of a doe in the forest. He had been tracking her since dawn, and he felt he was finally getting closer.
But the deeper he went into the forest, the stranger the atmosphere became. Everything was peaceful and calm and a feeling of serenity emanated from the wood... There was no trace of predators, the birds were whistling happily.
Then he saw it: the doe he had been tracking for several hours.
But it wasn't a doe. Well... Not completely. The creature was a doe from the waist down to the tips of its little hooves. But then, except for its ears which were those of a doe, from the waist down to the ends of its hair, the creature had a human physique.
It was a cervitaur.
The creature was on the ground, its legs curled to its sides, as it gently played with other forest animals.
Daryl lowered his crossbow, eyes wide with shock and fascination...
He had seen a chupacabra before, but never a cervitaur, much less a creature that looked so pure and innocent.
He walked towards her, emerging from the bushes.
