Raph wasn't used to being open about things that bothered him, the only one he talked to was April and even then, it was sparingly. He didn't like talking to his brothers about his anger or own problems as it made him feel weak and useless. Even talking with Splinter was hard. Truthfully, all he wanted was someone to hear him out, not try to fix his issues, just support him and let him rant for a while. He wanted someone who knew what it felt like to feel scared on the inside and pretend to be tough to protect themself.
