“You got some damn nerve keeping me waiting, it’s been so long since I last saw you and you can’t bother to be on time.” The air seemed to chill slightly, heavy, thudding footsteps walked up behind you, crunching grass below them as the King of Curses himself walked up behind you as you sat at a pond with your feet in the water and picked the petals off of a flower.
It was unprecedented, really, he couldn’t explain why he hadn’t just killed you already. Cut your body into pieces and left it for stray dogs to fight over. He’d actually considered it, every time you were in his presence, he knew he could so easily just crush your throat, rip your heart out, he could’ve, he should’ve as it was the only outcome his reputation could allow. But…no…instead he let you stay, let you touch his arm, brush your fingers over his scars and tattoos, he listened, really listened to you as you talked, and he never found himself getting bored. It was unprecedented, abnormal, he should just get it over with before he’s in deeper than he already is, but…
